Salon du Chocolat

The Salon du Chocolat is now exporting itself to the whole world. It is the unique and delicious opportunity to go and discover chocolate-makers’ creations and the techniques and different places where cocoa is produced.
It also gives you the chance to discover the latest trends and offers in the sectors of well-being and health, decoration, design, packaging and desserts; all with many opportunities to taste. Like last year, the Salon du Chocolat gives pride of place to two emblematic countries: Switzerland and Italy; the first being directly related to the history of chocolate and the second being synonymous with the art of living and gastronomy. The cocoa-producing countries are not left out either, as Brazil, the Gabon, Madagascar, Mexico, Venezuela, and Sao Tome and Principe are also there.
To properly celebrate this 15th fair, an opera which is entirely dedicated to this product which is synonymous with luxury, is being staged for the event, with a parade of chocolate dresses. There will also be a parade every day at 5pm, after which the models will be exhibited in the show.

But the exhibition’s star product is the "opera” cake! A giant cake will be made, as well as a monumental Opéra Garnier made from Léonidas chocolate, decorated by Swarovski crystals. A symbol of French creativity and inventiveness, Gaston Lenôtre will, of course, be honoured. By way of homage, a film and a photo exhibit will allow enthusiasts and novices alike to discover one of best gastronomic companies. Avant-gardist, cacoa is nontheless a foodstuff with a long history going back nearly 4000 years: with the Choco-Story museum concept and its collection of historic artefacts, immerse yourself in the world of chocolate.

For food lovers, the Salon du Chocolat offers conferences and tastings all day long in the Chocosphère area. And in the Choco Démos area, top chefs, pastry chefs and chocolate-makers will perform live to create around thirty exceptional recipes. Lastly, every day between 11am and 7pm, the Chocoland area will welcome children between the ages of four and 10 to amuse themselves by making festive and enjoyable culinary decorations.
